Y305-JJ21 PLC I/O Module Specification
User Manual · Technical Manual · All Y305 models
1. Overview
Y305-JJ21 runs local PLC programs with 18 digital inputs and 18 digital outputs. It also provides 2 AI and 1 AO, each with a 0–10 V signal range. The four code positions represent DI / DO / AI / AO; E represents 14 channels and J represents 18.
2. Ordering information
Relay outputs are the default; NPN transistor outputs are a separate hardware option, not a software setting. RTC (real-time clock) is standard. Specify the output hardware, RS485 port count, and any high-speed counting or pulse requirements when ordering. Availability depends on the hardware combination. Relay outputs cannot generate high-speed pulses.
3. Technical specifications
| Parameter | Specification |
|---|---|
| Nominal supply | 24 VDC; obtain the permitted range, consumption and inrush for the supplied unit |
| Digital inputs | 18; S/S to +24 V, with a dry contact or compatible sinking signal from Xn to 0 V |
| Digital outputs | 18; relay by default, NPN optional |
| Input / output labels | X0–X7, X10–X17, X20–X21 / Y0–Y7, Y10–Y17, Y20–Y21; verify against the delivered unit drawing |
| Analog inputs / outputs | 2 AI + 1 AO; 0–10 V |
| Analog resolution / raw range | 12 bits / 0–4095 |
| Analog terminals | AD0, AD1 (inputs); DA0 (output); GND (signal reference) |
| Relay load | Stated ceiling: 5 A at AC 220 V or DC 30 V, subject to load conditions |
| NPN load | Stated ceiling: 3 A; obtain the output voltage and load ratings for the ordered hardware |
| Programming | GX Works2 with an FX3U-style device/instruction model; use the setup specified for the hardware and firmware |
| RTC | Standard; clock accuracy, backup duration and power-loss recovery require verification |
| Communication | Up to two optional RS485 ports; Modbus RTU master/slave or non-protocol RS communication |
Nominal analog voltage = raw value × 10 / 4095. Resolution does not specify accuracy. Check input impedance, output load capability, update time and reference/isolation limits. Do not connect a 4–20 mA loop directly or apply an external voltage to DA0. See the Analog and PID Guide for scaling and commissioning.
The output ceilings do not establish continuous per-channel, common-terminal, inductive-load, inrush, or simultaneous-load ratings. Obtain the applicable ratings before connecting loads. NPN outputs are for DC loads only. Match sensors to the input thresholds, current, filter and leakage limits. RS and ADPRW cannot operate simultaneously.
4. Dimensions and installation
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Enclosure, width × height × depth | 185 × 108 × 49 mm |
| Relay PCB outline, two edge lengths | 182.00 × 96.00 mm |
PCB edge lengths do not specify enclosure orientation. Use the drawing for the delivered hardware to locate mounting holes, terminals and clearances; do not use PCB dimensions as a drilling template.
Select the enclosure and installation site using the unit's environmental, protection, isolation and EMC limits. Do not use Y305 as a safety PLC or sole protective control. Provide independent safety functions where required. Test startup, STOP, power loss and communication recovery with loads isolated; do not assume an automatic safe output state. See the User Manual for installation.
