1. Overview
The Y401-99-L is a nine-channel point-to-point wireless I/O terminal based on LoRa wireless communication. A matched pair contains two bidirectional modules. Each module provides nine digital inputs and nine relay outputs. Each input state is transmitted to the corresponding output channel on the other module.

Operating Logic
- A dry-contact closure or active NPN signal on Device A
DIactivates the correspondingDOrelay on Device B. - When the input returns to its open state, the corresponding remote relay resets.
- Bidirectional operation: the same logic applies from Device B to Device A.

Matched Pair
A standard pair consists of two matched Y401-99-L modules. Both modules can transmit and receive. The antenna interface uses an SMA female connector; a 470 MHz magnetic-mount antenna is an available antenna option.

7. Installation and Wiring
AC Power
- Use a protected AC 100 to 240 V supply and have qualified personnel complete the installation.
- Disconnect the power supply before inserting or removing the pluggable terminal block.
- Follow the power and terminal markings on the module.
Input Wiring
No voltage input on DI
The digital input (DI) is not a voltage-input terminal. Do not connect any powered signal or external voltage source directly to DI.
Connect only a passive dry contact or an NPN open-collector output between DI and COM.
Mechanical switches:
- Connect each switch between the corresponding input terminal and COM.
- No external signal voltage is required for a dry-contact input.
NPN open-collector output:
- Connect the transistor collector to the corresponding input terminal.
- Connect the transistor emitter or 0 V reference to COM.
- Do not connect sensor power or a PLC voltage output to DI.
Relay Output Wiring
- Connect each load according to the terminal markings on the module.
- Keep the load within the relay rating of AC 250 V 5 A or DC 28 V 5 A.
- Use a correctly rated contactor or external power relay for high-power or inductive loads.
- Add suitable fuse and surge suppression for the connected load.
Antenna Installation
- Install the antenna vertically in an open area.
- Keep the antenna away from large metal structures and other radio obstructions.
- Tighten the SMA connection securely before operation.
8. Important Notes
- The 5 km transmission distance is an open-area planning value. Actual performance depends on the antenna, installation, obstructions, interference, and site conditions.
- Fast communication is specified for distances up to 1 km; it is not a 10 km operating mode.
- Never apply voltage directly to a DI terminal.
- Relay ratings are maximum ratings. Select the external contactor, protection, and suppression components for the actual load.
- The wireless link is not intended to be the sole emergency-stop, personnel-safety, or hard-real-time control path.
