1. Overview

Y401-11-L is a point-to-point LoRa pair with 1 DI and 1 SPDT relay output per device. The two devices, A and B, are factory paired.

Y401-11-L control diagram

Operating Logic

  • Device A DI closed -> Device B DO relay energizes (NO to COM)
  • Device A DI open -> Device B DO relay resets (NC to COM)
  • Bidirectional operation: the same logic applies from Device B to Device A

Communication Loss

If wireless communication is lost, the receiver retains the last relay output states for approximately 80 seconds. If communication has not recovered by then, the relay outputs automatically reset to the de-energized (OFF) state. The normally open (NO–COM) contacts open.

2. Ordering Information

Model Configuration

Y401-11-L is a one-to-one LoRa pair. The two digits, 11, specify the digital I/O count on the two sides: each device has 1 DI and 1 DO.

A fast communication version is available with a communication distance of 1000 m and latency below 500 ms. Specify the required version when ordering.

For the full code and examples, see Model Naming.

WeightApprox. 50 g
Mounting35 mm DIN rail
Protection ratingIP20
Housing materialFlame-retardant plastic

7. Installation and Wiring

Use the Y401-11-L user manual for power, input, and relay wiring, pairing or replacement, and commissioning.

DI accepts dry contacts or NPN open-collector signals, not voltage inputs. Relay contacts require an external load supply. Select the load and protection against the electrical ratings above.

8. Important Notes

  • Standard-version range figures assume an open-area installation. The 10 km option requires the specified configuration and antenna. The fast communication version has a communication distance of 1000 m and latency below 500 ms. Obstructions, interference, and antenna placement affect the installed link.
  • The half-duplex wireless link is unsuitable for guaranteed timing or as the sole emergency-stop/personnel-safety path.
