Country Coverage Quick Guide (Y201-G / Y212-G / Y212-GWR)
Use this page to quickly decide whether a deployment country is a good fit for Yengear cellular serial gateways.
1. Model Band Summary
| Model | Cellular Type | Main Bands |
|---|---|---|
| Y201-G | 4G Cat.1 | LTE-FDD B1/B3/B5/B8; LTE-TDD B34/B38/B39/B40/B41 |
| Y212-G | 4G Cat.4 with 2G/3G fallback | GSM EGSM900/DCS1800; WCDMA B1/B8; CDMA2000 BC0; TD-SCDMA B34/B39; LTE-FDD B1/B3/B5/B8; LTE-TDD B34/B38/B39/B40/B41 |
| Y212-GWR | 4G Cat.4 with 2G/3G fallback | GSM EGSM900/DCS1800; WCDMA B1/B8; CDMA2000 BC0; TD-SCDMA B34/B39; LTE-FDD B1/B3/B5/B8; LTE-TDD B34/B38/B39/B40/B41 |
2. Country Quick Decision
| Country or Region | Y201-G | Y212-G | Y212-GWR | Practical Guidance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| China Mainland | Supported | Supported | Supported | Strong overlap with LTE FDD B1/B3/B5/B8 and LTE TDD B34/B38/B39/B40/B41 |
| India | Supported | Supported | Supported | Main LTE bands commonly overlap: B1/B3/B5/B8/B40/B41 |
| Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore | Supported in most areas | Supported in most areas | Supported in most areas | Most operators use B1/B3/B5/B8; verify by operator and deployment city |
| Japan, South Korea | Partially Supported | Partially Supported | Partially Supported | Partial overlap, but some operator primary bands are outside these models |
| EU and UK (Germany, France, UK, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Poland) | Partially Supported | Partially Supported | Partially Supported | Overlap on B1/B3/B8; common low bands like B20/B28 are not covered |
| Australia, New Zealand | Partially Supported | Partially Supported | Partially Supported | Missing B28 may reduce indoor and rural coverage |
| United States, Canada | Not Recommended | Not Recommended | Not Recommended | Key mainstream LTE bands are not sufficiently covered for primary deployment |
3. Selection Notes
- If your country is marked as
Supportedand you only need compact serial-to-cloud connectivity, chooseY201-G. - If you need 2G/3G fallback or richer I/O and field maintenance capability, choose
Y212-G. - If you need WAN/Wi-Fi/4G link redundancy and routing, choose
Y212-GWR.
This table is a band-overlap reference, not a carrier access guarantee. Real availability depends on local operator deployment, SIM profile, APN, and certification requirements. 2G/3G fallback works only where local 2G/3G networks are still active.
