Y811-95AV — Seven-Color Sounder-Beacon Technical Manual

This manual covers the Y811-95AV seven-color sounder-beacon. Use the Y811-95AV specification as the authority for the ordered supply, protection rating, dimensions, mounting, and interface configuration.

1. Safety and scope

Y811-95AV provides auxiliary audible and visual warning. It is not an emergency-stop circuit, a certified fire-alarm panel, a life-safety system, or a safety-rated control circuit.

The catalog lists DC 12-24 V or AC 220 V. Confirm the delivered voltage marking before wiring. Only qualified personnel may install an AC 220 V configuration. Disconnect all power before opening the enclosure or changing wires.

2. Confirmed configuration

The catalog does not provide the RS485 protocol map, default serial parameters, RS232 electrical level, connector pinout, or seven-color command table.

3. Installation and wiring

  1. Confirm the supply voltage and interface configuration on the delivered unit.
  2. Confirm the three-input wiring and active level from the production drawing.
  3. Use screw mounting appropriate for the enclosure and site vibration.
  4. For RS485, use a twisted pair, keep the bus away from switching noise, and use a daisy-chain topology for multiple devices.
  5. Do not connect an RS232 port to an RS485 bus.
  6. Disconnect power before changing any connection.

The supplied catalog does not define RS485 A/B polarity, RS232 level, connector, or wire colors. Follow the delivered cable label and production drawing. Do not infer these details from Y811-52V, Y811-52AV, or Y811-75AV.

4. Communication status

InterfaceStatus
RS485Listed in the catalog; protocol and default serial parameters require confirmation
RS232Listed in the catalog; electrical level and pinout require confirmation
Modbus RTUNot confirmed for this model
Seven-color command mapNot supplied

Do not apply the Modbus register map, default address, baud rate, CRC settings, or light-command values from another Y811 model. Request the exact protocol sheet for the ordered Y811-95AV configuration before software integration.

5. Commissioning and troubleshooting

Use one device and a short test cable during initial commissioning. Record the delivered interface, serial parameters, address, protocol revision, and connector definition in the service record.

SymptomLikely causeAction
No light or soundWrong supply, disabled output, or wiring errorCheck voltage, polarity, terminal labels, and local control wiring
RS485 device does not replyUnknown parameters, A/B reversal, or wrong connectorStop testing and obtain the model-specific protocol sheet and pinout
RS232 integration failsWrong electrical level or pinoutStop wiring and obtain the production drawing
